Ms. Torres
I graduated from UTSA in 1994 with a
Bachelors of Arts in Spanish. While in undergraduate school, I completed
additional hours toward my degree at the University of Guadalajara, in
Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. I also received a Masters Degree in
Bicultural-Bilingual Studies from UTSA in 2000. I continued my education by
receiving a second Masters Degree in Science with a concentration in Counseling
and Guidance from Texas A&M - Kingsville in 2002.
My first teaching position was in 1994 at Samuel Clemons High School, where I taught Spanish, levels I - IV. In 1997, I continued my teaching career with Judson ISD as a teacher at Kirby Middle School, where I taught Spanish, ESL, and Reading. I began my counseling career at Theodore Roosevelt High School in 2002-2006. I then became a counselor at Winston Churchill from 2006-2012. I became a proud Maverick in 2012 where I enjoy working with such great students, parents and a very supportive staff. |
